Having never written a blog before and not really very sure where to start, we’ll start at the beginning. I am, first and foremost, an internet shopper. I despise having to physically go to a store. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a grocery store, department store or even (da da da daaaaa) the dreaded Wal-Mart. I don’t like the crush of people all reaching for the same thing, crowded narrow aisles and standing in long checkout lines. However, I like shopping. So the internet and I have become really good friends. I enjoy sitting in my cushy office chair with a cup of steaming hot coffee on the desk, browsing thru Jessica London, Bath & Body Works, Collections, etc, or (my favourite) Amazon.
Now, shopping online does have some drawbacks. You can’t hold or touch or try on any of the products. So you have to rely on feedback and reviews from people who have purchased the product. Buy from name brand companies that you know are legitimate or Google a company to find background information. There’s a ton of businesses out there that you’ve never heard of but that doesn’t mean that they’re not legitimate. Sometimes, you just have to take a chance.
I did that with Collections Etc . Now, I’ve been buying from them for about 4 years. They consistently send out paper catalogues and I get a promotion email from them just about every week. They have some great gift ideas and “most” of their products are under $20.00. Promotions run from Free Shipping to a percentage off your order or both. So you watch your email, choose the deal you like best and order away. If you have to deal with their customer service department, they are prompt, courteous and seem to want to do whatever it takes to keep your business.
So, that’s it for today. Next time, we’ll talk about another internet shopping goodie. In the meantime, get on the computer and google, google, google.
